LOUTH CIRCUIT SITTINGS – 2ND MARCH 2021 – 19TH MARCH 2021
Further to President Ryan’s direction, all matters in this three week sitting are adjourned to the next sessions. These cases will be given priority at the callover of the 12th of April 2021.
The following provision will apply for urgent matters:
Applications can be made to Judge O’ Malley Costello each Tuesday seeking the Judge’s permission to urgently hear cases which had been scheduled to be heard during this sitting. Where the Judge deems a case urgent, arrangements for the hearing will be made to occur within these three weeks. Hearings will be conducted remotely where possible.
Applications should be on notice to the other parties to enable all parties to make representations to the Judge at the Tuesday court.
Judge O’ Malley Costello will hold a virtual court every Tuesday in Dundalk Courthouse at 10.30am to hear such applications (2nd , 9th , 16th of March). Details of the virtual court links will be available on the Law Society and Bar websites on the previous Friday.
Lay Litigants in family and civil cases listed during this three week period are advised to email dundalkcourtoffice@courts.ie if they wish to request an urgent hearing. The e-mail should also put any other parties on notice and should have a brief outline of the reasons why the case should be heard urgently. Arrangements for a hearing can be made where the Judge deems the matter urgent based on the information provided.
